The special Guest of our last C&C Call was Ashley Latvala (USA), Leader of Crescendo Dance (Homepage).
About our Speaker:
Ashley Latvala is a professionally trained ballet dancer from Seattle, Washington who shifted career goals to serve in ministry. She has served for over 20 years in the US, East Asia, and primarily in Russia.
Ashley began serving with Crescendo by leading a local community of musicians and artists in St. Petersburg, Russia. She later pioneered Crescendo Dance, amidst the Covid pandemic and has been amazed to see this community expand to serve professional dancers in mainstream companies and theaters all around the world.
Ashley has also studied the methodology of teaching classical dance at the Vaganova Ballet Academy, the historic founding institution of Russian ballet technique, and has worked as a translator for the Vaganova Academy as well as for other dance historians/authors. She has taught ballet to students of all levels in the US and Russia.
