Our Vision

La Pommeraie is a welcoming place for artists to come for rest, reflection and to find inspiration. We desire to encourage artists as they engage in a creative process enabling them to advance in new artistic efforts.

The center point of La Pommeraie’s vision is found at the intersection of art, faith and culture. The goal is to promote exploration, development and creation of new work that resonates with its culture while opening doors to a deeper spiritual encounter with God, the Great Creator.

We want to provide:

  • a place to receive creatively gifted people who work in a wide variety of artistic disciplines.

  • a warm, welcoming environment where artists can find rest and restoration physically, spiritually and emotionally.

  • an environment where artists will find encouragement and time to reflect.

  • a place that incites artists  to use their imagination and God-given creative gifts to produce new work.

The Property:

La Pommeraie is comprised of 3 beautiful cottages in the heart of Normandy. The land is approximately 2.5 acres with fruit trees, shrubs, flowers and a small pond on a small country road surrounded by farms and large cultivated fields. A place to receive creatively gifted people who work in a wide variety of artistic disciplines. It is an environment where artists will find encouragement and time to reflect.

La Bergerie is a thatched roof guesthouse that has a living room and a kitchen on the ground floor with a bathroom and two small bedrooms upstairs. It sleeps 2 to 3 people.

La Grange is rebuilt on the site of the old barn. It has a large kitchen, and a large combination dining and living room on the ground floor. There is a small bedroom and larger dormitory-style room on the upper floor, a WC and a shower. It sleeps 7 people comfortably.

La Chaumière is a Norman thatched roof farmhouse built in the early 1700's. This is our home and the place from which we will welcome you.

Occasionally we do accept other guests who are willing to pay full price when we have openings in our schedule. By doing so this will help us offset costs for artists.  Artists: €40 a night or €250 per week.

Non artists - €70 per night with an additional €10 per night for each extra person over two years of age.

Cleaning fee of €30 added for each stay.
